It's More Fun In The Philippines 2020: Welcome To Leyte!

Hi, Super Folks ! First thing, I'd like to know, how are you? Are you okay? How's life? How's your self-quarantine going? Well me, I'm here in Manila, the Philippines. I guess, just like you, I'm trying to be okay amid COVID-19 , amid this pandemic . Our country is under State of Calamity since March 16, 2020 , a broad lockdown on Luzon began, or the " Enhanced Community Quarantine ". Hello, from Leyte!  I'm on my fourth week, almost one month of staying at home. I couldn't go to work, I feel like suffering from cabin fever . That's why I'm trying to be more productive, apart from binge-watching on Prime Video, I'm doing household chores, easy exercises and writing this new blog post. By the way, I'm done with "The Purge" series, I also like "The Expanse" and "The Man in the High Castle". Like everybody else, all over the world. I'm finding ways to shake off sadness. ...

Short Family Vacation In The Philippines Idea #1: Overnight Stay At Canyon Cove

Australia 's deadly bushfires, flood-hit Indonesia , Turkey earthquake, Philippines ' Taal Volcano eruption, locust invasion in eastern Africa , Kashmir avalanche and Coronavirus outbreak. What else? I don't know. I guess, the perfect question would be, how much more misery can we take? Or, when will this end? Without a doubt, this new year, 2020 , is seriously ill. You know, it's like tsunami of bad news, from many natural disasters, tragedies, death, regional conflicts to a new virus outbreak. Everyone is overwhelmed.  View of Taal Volcano and its Lake from Tagaytay Picnic Grove . Everyone is having nightmares. Few more days left before a new month starts, a new quarter. I'm hopeful that April would not fool us, that it would be better and happier. Right now, if you'd like to cry out loud, go. If you'd like to scream, go! But remember, never ever forget to wipe your tears and turn over a new leaf. It's a normal feeling, that...

New Lasema Spa: My First Jjimjilbang Experience - Time To Relax!

"God, please make your world a better place for us." Few hours after Kobe Bryant 's tragic loss, I posted this on my Facebook wall. I remember, it was January 27, 2020, Monday morning in the Philippines when I saw it on my News Feed . At first, I really thought it was fake, but no, it wasn't, it was a true horrible news. I don't watch NBA games religiously and yes, I like Klay Thompson , Stephen Curry , Kyle Kuzma and Jordan Clarkson but I still don't consider myself a die-hard basketball fan. Another but, it doesn't mean I didn't get sad and deeply shocked. It's human nature and normal to feel bad about it. I agree with Mandy Moore , an American singer, songwriter and actress. Based on her Instagram post, " No words. Unfathomable and heartbreaking on every level. You don't have to know someone personally to recognize their contribution to the world and their long lasting legacy as an athlete and a human. T...

Happy New Year, Super Folks ! 2019, you're so colorful and super thanks for the great memories. Come on 2020, let me give you a big hug. Let's create beautiful stories too, with my family and friends. The last year reminds me of this cliché, " Time flies when you're having fun ". Well, it was indeed a fun ride! First four months were bumpy, there were rough nights and hard days, and then latter half became better. Praise God! I don't wanna brag but traveling to many places in my country, the Philippines, from good to superb spots, always helps me to speed up time. You know what I mean? It helps me to forget my worries and simply enjoy life, without judgement and negative thoughts. It's a very effective hobby and already part of my life. Hopefully my next trip is around Southeast Asia. Malaysia or Brunei? Can I have both? Like everybody, I'm still asking myself, is 2020 the start of a new decade? When does the decade end, 2020 or 202...
