Whistlestop, Bel-air, Makati City: Next Stop! Foods That Will Make You Whistle.

Welcome to Whistlestop! How do you deal with stress? Do you dwell? Do you go to the gym and get fitter or drift yourself into something you usually do like shopping? Well, without a doubt aside from those, we in fact eat more to forget even just a few hours and lighten up our heavy feelings, right? I know your tummy can't resist great foods. Working in a new company with new people, characters and environment, we expect to gain new friends and guess what? Also, new place where there are great restaurants nearby. For almost three months that I've been working in this company, I haven't got a chance to eat at these food houses yet, but only this last week when that chance made possible.

We often hear team building especially when we are new in the company and your colleagues are new too, as they say this is the best chance to get to know each other more, our team leader usually spearheads, it maybe overnight swimming, or #letsgetdrunk. But sometimes, just a plain eat out is enough. Great talks for roughly two hours from the time you wait for your order, while eating, until you finish your pasta, somewhat helps you profile your coworkers and also them toward you. Maybe it would be also easier to cope with stress when you're not alone, right?

Since that was my first time to eat in whistlestop, instead of knowing the origin of its name I decided to get to know it more through their foods. I thought I was in old Great Britain when I entered the place, very classic and somewhat sophisticated.

Pasta 'Ala Pobre'-P220

Nasi Goreng-P165

After trying from burger, pasta to nasi goreng, I can say that it's a must try stress reliever, the serving will get you full and satisfied, a perfect place to 'hang out' amid the pouring rain. To sum it all up, it's a great place to eat, so next time you stop along bel-air makati, make sure to whistle at Whistlestop.

Museo San Agustin Intramuros: Tale Of The Oldest Stone Church In The Philippines

It's not fool to say that April month is on its way! Aren't you excited? One more week to go and we need to turn another calendar page. What are you looking forward to? Yey! The long wait is almost over and I can feel the summer here in the Philippines. Without a doubt, one of the things you have on your list this April is "grand vacation". For students, definitely a much longer hours of sleep since officially most are already on school break this time. For catholics, let's not forget that Holy Week falls on April this year. Are you ready for the Visita Iglesia(church visit)? Well, you're maybe still on the process of searching for your seven churches and if I'm correct you might wanna consider  San Agustin Church especially if your route is just within Manila City. Aside from Casa Manila, this is also a must-see place in the Walled City, Intramuros . It was last year when I visited this church for the holy week also and that was the only time I had a ch...

Paradise Philippines 2025: Siargao

Para, para, paradise!! Lovely morning, y’all! How’s everyone doing? It’s already May, and so much has been happening lately, office dramas, rotational brownouts, mood swings, the rainy season creeping in, rising inflation, bits of great news, and heartbreaking headlines caused by corrupt politicians. But through it all, you and I still have to keep moving forward, keep showing up, and keep choosing life every single day. That’s probably why little escapes and quiet moments away from the noise feel extra special these days. Today, we’re diving into a new blog post, and I have a question for you: if you were given the chance to escape today — even just for a little while — away from all the responsibilities and stress of the world, where would you go? Would you finally visit the place you’ve been dreaming about for so long? Or would you rather wander off to somewhere random, with no plans at all? More than two years ago, I found myself asking this question: now that I finally had...

Manila City: Sta. Ana's Tesoros delos Desamparados Festival Grand Procession

Viva! Viva Maria! Viva! Viva Maria! Viva! Viva! A strong, unsynchronized yet passionate cheer was heard from the devotees and parishioners of the image of Our Lady of Abandoned (Tagalog: Ina ng Walang Mag Ampon, Spanish: Nuestra Senora de los Desamparados) when we entered the gate of Sta. Ana Church. Pooshhh! And a colorful confetti welcomed us, fell slowly and freely from the ceiling to the ground. I was near the walkway to the altar when I said "Thank God! (sigh) Finally the procession is over". Ok, you might be thinking what is this all about? It was the flowery and grand fiesta procession I attended last May 12 in Sta. Ana, one of the towns in the city of Manila. I'd say, living here is an advantage for someone who is a culture-seeker, history buff and foodie like me. Old houses, church and great eateries to food crawl. There are streets that will somewhat bring you back to the old style Manila. Grand Fiesta Procession is one of the activities of Tesoros De ...
