Where To Eat In E. Rodriguez? Unicorn Tea & Bistro Is Ready To Serve You!

It's official! Rainy season is now here! So, what does it mean?
Very simple! It means lesser sunshine and more bed weather. Good news for you, sleepyhead! Well, not only that, it's also Back-to-School season in the Philippines! How's your first day, kiddo? Did you wear your new shoes? Let me guess, perhaps you didn't attend the class because it was suspended due to downpour. Am I right?
No doubt, you did surely thank the rain for that. I can't blame you, this weather really makes us lazy and stay in bed all day. I can say, I'm really not a certified Pluviophile or a lover of rain. Mostly because of the flood and heavy traffic. I'd rather choose to be a forever Heliophile or someone who finds joy and peace of mind during sunny days.

Tell you what, I don't wanna be hypocrite. Although I don't totally ĺove this season, I'm sure there are things we often like to do on a rainy day. I remember Bob Marley's quote, "some people feel the rain, others just get wet". It's really a choice, either you appreciate it or defy it.

Like a normal person, I'd often sleep all day, eat porridge, watch Netflix series and drink hot coffee on rainy afternoons. I enjoy these things and I find it very comfy. How about you? What are the things or fun activities you do during wet season? Can you give some examples?

Every time I grumble about sudden heavy rainfall I always try to see the benefits or good sides of it. Like our beloved farmers, for sure they need it to speed up the growth of their seedlings. Thus, If I were you I would be grateful because without it there's no good quality rice or vegetables to buy at the market. Okay, more rain please!

"I'm singin' in the rain. Just singin' in the rain. What a glorious feeling. I'm happy again."

Thank you Sir Gene Kelly! Aside from oversleeping like Sleeping Beauty, we can't deny that come rain or shine, we also love 'food tripping', others call it 'food hopping'. Whether we're stuck in the rain or traffic jam, we often find this effective way to brighten our mood.

Speaking of, I have a delicious news for you! Literally and figuratively yummy! Listen foodies, if you're looking for somewhere new to eat this season or latest chill out place for students. Check out this new resto in E. Rodriguez, Quezon City.
Let me introduce the Unicorn Tea & Bistro!

You're always welcome here! Well, unfortunately they don't sell unicorns but they have mouthwatering pastries, breakfast favorites, salads, soups, sandwiches, pasta and main courses. What else? Goodbye Starbucks for now because you can also buy cool frappés, latte and brewed tea. Wow! Perfect for tea party, right?

Pork Chop N' Corn- 210 Pesos(roughly 4 US Dollars)
"cheeky meaty grilled pork chop with buttered corn kernels served with coleslaw & plain rice"

Oops! Sorry, am I making you hungry? No worries, it's so easy to go here especially if you're studying in TUA(Trinity University of Asia). It's just in front of your school, classmates. Located exactly at The Capital Towers, Unit G05A Athens Bldg, E. Rodriguez Sr. Ave, Quezon City, 1102. If still not familiar? Just simply Grab it or use Google Maps.

Baby Back Ribs- 270 Pesos(roughly 5 US Dollars)
"a thick slab of tender, juicy pork ribs slow cooked for 3.5 hours and grilled to perfection"

Oh my! See this holy yummy baby back ribs? Don't forget to try this when you visit Unicorn Tea & Bistro. Honestly, it's really affordable and cheaper compared to other restaurants that also serve this kind of main course, price ranges generally from P350 to P500. What are you waiting for?

Garlic Parmesan Wings- 175 Pesos(roughly 3.50 US Dollars)
"8pcs deep fried chicken wings with parmesan cheese and crunchy garlic bits"

This is so tasty! These wings will help you fly high. No, just kidding! Anyhow, this is one of their best sellers and actually one of my favorites. It's really easy to eat, no need to use spoon and fork. Just dunk in the wing into the sauce and eat, perfecto! Students will surely love this starter on chitchat sessions.

The irresistible Flat Lay

It was more than a month ago when I and one of my friends(also a former colleague) went to this 'talk of the town' bistro in E. Rodriguez. We were invited to attend the 'Blogger's Day' by our friend(also a former colleague) who happens to be the manager of Unicorn Tea & Bistro. Thankfully, we didn't drain our wallet because that was also my first x-deal as a blogger. In exchange, I'm creating this blog post. Yippee! I'm almost done. Pretty much, I can say now that I'm already experiencing the so-called 'The Perks of Being a Blogger' and sometimes a wallflower. To God be the glory!

Aglio Olio- 180 Pesos(roughly 3.60 US Dollars)
"shrimp, sun-dried tomato, garlic, parmesan cheese on spaghetti"

Not only to support my friend and to blog but I went there simply because I'd like to eat new food. Great thing! This bistro didn't disappoint me because I was able to try Aglio Olio, a traditional Italian pasta dish. It was my first time and it was really good. I can say that it wasn't hard for me to love it right away because I'm a true-blue pasta lover. I can eat pesto, carbonara and lasagne all day.

Candied Bacon Green Salad- 165 Pesos(roughly 3.30 US Dollars)
"candied bacon, fresh green vegs, mango"

Another first time is the candied bacon green salad. Every time we hear the word 'salad', we often think of leafy vegetables like lettuce. Promise, this won't turn you into a goat. This kind of salad is sweet because of the mango chunks and it has bacon too. I can say, it's perfect for all ages.

Green Tea Matcha- Regular 165 Pesos(roughly 3.30 US Dollars), Grand 180 Pesos(roughly 3.60 US Dollars)

I love chocolates and strawberries but when it comes to frappe, nothing can beat Matcha. I'm officially missing this drink. Can someone send this to me?

Cute cupcake for you!

Food for the Gods

It's true my friend, don't judge the book by its cover. This dessert won't entice you until you taste it. Very delish!

Eat well for less than 300 Pesos(roughly 6 US Dollars)

Whether you're a millennial or a hypebeast. I tell you, this bistro will also go viral on social media. Whether you're a student or an employee. I tell you, this is a new hangout spot in the metro. Whether it's raining or it's shining. I tell you, you need to eat and this place is worth a try. Dishes are affordable and it's very clean. Unicorn Tea & Bistro is ready to serve you!

I will surely be back here for 'Tea Experience'.

For inquiries, kindly search their bistro name on popular social media sites like Facebook and Instagram and make sure to follow. They also have free delivery(to nearby areas) and advance orders. Just call 09171540944 or 026160908

Museo San Agustin Intramuros: Tale Of The Oldest Stone Church In The Philippines

It's not fool to say that April month is on its way! Aren't you excited? One more week to go and we need to turn another calendar page. What are you looking forward to? Yey! The long wait is almost over and I can feel the summer here in the Philippines. Without a doubt, one of the things you have on your list this April is "grand vacation". For students, definitely a much longer hours of sleep since officially most are already on school break this time. For catholics, let's not forget that Holy Week falls on April this year. Are you ready for the Visita Iglesia(church visit)? Well, you're maybe still on the process of searching for your seven churches and if I'm correct you might wanna consider  San Agustin Church especially if your route is just within Manila City. Aside from Casa Manila, this is also a must-see place in the Walled City, Intramuros . It was last year when I visited this church for the holy week also and that was the only time I had...

New Bombay: Authentic Indian Cuisine

Hello world! How are we doing so far? Are you enjoying your coffee while reading this blog? I hope so. I don't know why I'm so tired today and I don't feel like doing anything, I just wanna lay in my bed. Yeah, blame Bruno Mars! Just kidding! Yeah, it is a lazy day today. Sadly, as much as I want to sleep, I still need to finish this new article. Perhaps brewed coffee is the best answer to boost my mood. Oh my! Believe it or not, a new month is approaching. Happy February in advance! Time flies, I feel like this year for me is about food adventures. It's just my prediction but you know it's really not a secret that Filipinos love to eat and try new things. Nowadays, more people are becoming adventure seekers toward the dishes they eat and more people are starting to appreciate different cuisines than before. Perfect example are my colleagues. Don't include me, I'm hiding.  We are new in our company and we thought that the best way to bond is to ...

Bauan, Batangas: The Immaculately Beautiful Sunset In Sampaguita Beach (Certified Boracay Alternative)

Describe, Boracay ? Beautiful and oh my, very beautiful! That's all I can say. Have you been to that paradise, in the Philippines ? Have you heard the news? It's been almost five years since I first visited this popular holiday destination in my country, merely to relax and enjoy life with my friends. I can say, it's truly a memorable vacation because it was also my first plane ride. Brrr! I still remember how cold the aircraft cabin was. It was freezing cold. Just like you, I'm also missing this true heaven on earth. I'm missing its powdery white sand, barefoot walking, Puka Beach , perfect turquoise water, dramatic sunset, super fun nightlife, yummy seafood, island hopping and my favorite ATV(all-terrain vehicle) ride. Oh goodness! How soon can I experience these again? Perhaps, tomorrow? Sure! Sadly, we can neither go tomorrow nor next week. "Breaking News: Time to say goodbye, Boracay will be closed for 6 months" . I wish it's a fake news ...
