Where To Eat In Tomas Morato? O Ga Ne Korean Restaurant Is Worth A Try!

"Japan has sushi, China has noodles and your country has? Samgyeopsal!" Tell you what, this is completely hilarious! Yeah, time to say goodbye to our adobo and sisig my fellow Filipinos. Sorry South Korea, the Philippines is now officially including samgyeopsal as part of our cuisine, not only because we often crave for it but also most of us really love K-dramas(K-pop too) and we somehow feel like we're already part of it everytime we eat this dish. Right?
Unfortunately, it can never be official because it's just a joke. Forgive me please! Couple of days ago when I saw that funny post from a Facebook friend which is very relevant to this new blog post. All kidding aside, it's partly true and the prime basis could be the numerous affordable Korean restaurants in Metro Manila. As they say, they are springing up like mushrooms. We love it!

Yes, we honestly love it! We? Yeah, me and my coworkers. Kinda long overdue story but it was more than a month ago when we had our first team "eat out" at O Ga Ne Restaurant in Quezon City(exact address: 303 Tomas Morato Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City, 1103 Metro Manila). Very common in a corporate world as a perfect way to get to know each other and the idea is somewhat like the quote, "The way to a man's heart is through his stomach". Without a doubt you can create a great team, especially if all team members are foodie.

Although rush hour traffic didn't help us to get there smoothly, I could say that it was still a perfect timing because it really satisfied my craving for Korean meat, for my love samgyeopsal. Yeah, my last was roughly 5 months ago at Samgyupsalamat Makati. Totally missed the smoky smell, chopsticks, side dishes and the grill-your-own-food way of cooking. "Once is enough, twice is too much and thrice? Definitely it's your favorite."

O Ga Ne is not that spacious considering it's always open and indeed a haven for many food lovers in Tomas Morato. Yeah, even local actors go here. I call for expansion!

At a very affordable price of less than 400 Pesos (roughly 8 US Dollars) per person, you can enjoy unlimited samgyeopsal. More meat means more fun!

Unlike other Korean restos I've been to, O Ga Ne has portable Korean BBQ grills where you can cook the samgyeopsal. Great thing is, it doesn't create too much smoke but pieces of meat don't cook really fast. So, pretty much that's the consequence when you eat here. As they say, patience is a virtue. Side dishes and lettuce are not unlimited but can be replenished twice. There's free soup too!

No, we're neither love birds nor twins. We're just team members cheering to the freakin' weekend.

Aside from unli samgyeopsal I also had a chance to drink soju when we were there, a clear distilled liquor made from rice. Quite pricey but worth a try even for non-drinkers. The best soju I've ever tasted.

Ma ma ma my Melona! Surprisingly we got free watermelon-flavored ice pops as our dessert. Thank you O Ga Ne! It's a unique and literally sweet gimmick of the resto wherein customers can get free Melona by liking their FB page and posting their photo with (hashtag)#oganeselfie. Oh sure, easy-peasy! Hopefully you'll experience this too when you eat there. In a nutshell, this resto is recommendable for all of you gourmands! Enjoy!
For more details or any inquiries you can search and like their FB page OGANE Restaurant since their promo varies. Definitely never ever forget to like my FB page Supermarkymacky etc. https://m.facebook.com/supermarkymackyetc/?ref=bookmarks

Bauan, Batangas: The Immaculately Beautiful Sunset In Sampaguita Beach (Certified Boracay Alternative)

Describe, Boracay ? Beautiful and oh my, very beautiful! That's all I can say. Have you been to that paradise, in the Philippines ? Have you heard the news? It's been almost five years since I first visited this popular holiday destination in my country, merely to relax and enjoy life with my friends. I can say, it's truly a memorable vacation because it was also my first plane ride. Brrr! I still remember how cold the aircraft cabin was. It was freezing cold. Just like you, I'm also missing this true heaven on earth. I'm missing its powdery white sand, barefoot walking, Puka Beach , perfect turquoise water, dramatic sunset, super fun nightlife, yummy seafood, island hopping and my favorite ATV(all-terrain vehicle) ride. Oh goodness! How soon can I experience these again? Perhaps, tomorrow? Sure! Sadly, we can neither go tomorrow nor next week. "Breaking News: Time to say goodbye, Boracay will be closed for 6 months" . I wish it's a fake news but...

Paradise Philippines 2025: Siargao (Is the Siargao Curse real?)

Para, para, paradise!! Lovely morning, y’all! How’s everyone doing? It’s already May, and so much has been happening lately, office dramas, rotational brownouts, mood swings, the rainy season creeping in, rising inflation, bits of great news, and heartbreaking headlines caused by corrupt politicians. But through it all, you and I still have to keep moving forward, keep showing up, and keep choosing life every single day. That’s probably why little escapes and quiet moments away from the noise feel extra special these days. Today, we’re diving into a new blog post, and I have a question for you: if you were given the chance to escape today — even just for a little while — away from all the responsibilities and stress of the world, where would you go? Would you finally visit the place you’ve been dreaming about for so long? Or would you rather wander off to somewhere random, with no plans at all? More than two years ago, I found myself asking this question: now that I finally had...

Majayjay, Laguna: Don't Go Chasing Taytay Falls! (My First Waterfall Experience And The Happy Side Trip To Liliw)

Hey, what's up Super Folks ! How are you doing today? Did you get a good sleep last night? Me? Praise God, I had a good sleep because it was my rest day. This morning, I'm just watching random YouTube videos, like the vlogs of Bretman Rock , Alex Gonzaga , Lost LeBlanc  and my new fave is the channel of Heart Evangelista . Have you seen her video with  Sen. Chiz Escudero about adulting ? Oh my, you should watch it. They were sensible and articulate. Generally, this is what I do on my free time. I feel like, as we grow older, we really need to watch hilarious and self-help videos because they give good vibes. I'll tell you, it's very important nowadays. Yeah, we don't wanna hear fake news and politics. We wanna grow old gracefully. In addition, I often watch Jollibee Mukbang videos, oh my I love chickenjoy and 90's Music videos. I don't know but honestly, I'm starting to admire the songs of  Backstreet Boys , Westlife , A1 and Hanson agai...
